Methodology Note

Implied tournament Elo is derived using a Bradley–Terry model, which estimates relative player strengths by fitting match results. To stabilize ratings for players with few tournament games, each player is anchored to their 1v1 FFP ladder Elo (or a default of 1900 if unrated) with an uncertainty prior (σ). For roster players, their fit anchor is constrained strictly, whereas outsiders have wider anchors, allowing tournament results to take precedence. The match simulator uses the pre-tournament baseline of these fitted ratings (excluding live EPL 6 games to prevent double-counting) to simulate EPL 6 matches.
